Stacy Peterson, MA, CSCS, USAW, HHC
Founder, Acceleration Sports
Stacy Peterson is a Sports Performance Coach, and founder of Acceleration Sports, working with individuals, groups and teams of athletes nationally and internationally. Peterson believes in training "the whole" athlete through proper sports performance training, nutrition, mental training, time management and injury prevention. In sports, just as in life, each area is unable to reach it's full potential without the help of another; they all go hand in hand to make the best athlete and individual.

Peterson was the Director of Athletic Performance at the University of California San Diego and Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach both at the University of California San Diego and American University, Washington, D.C. Peterson has coached athletes to perform better in baseball, basketball, crew, cross country, distance track, field hockey, gymnastics, lacrosse, soccer, softball, squash swimming and diving, tennis, triathlon, volleyball, water polo and wrestling.
Peterson was selected to be an Assistant Swim Coach for the 2012 FINA Masters World Championships in Riccione, Italy. She coaches masters swimmers on deck throughout the June 2012 competition.
Peterson is a Holistic Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where she was trained in more than one hundred dietary theories and studied a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. Drawing on this knowledge, she will help you create a completely personalized "roadmap to health" that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences and goals. More information can be found about Peterson's training and unique approach to health coach training.
Peterson was a Masters Swimming National Champion in the 100 backstroke, 100 freestyle and 50 freestyle, as well as two-time Masters Swimming National Record holder. While attaining her degree in Kinesiology, Peterson was a competitive Big West Division I swimmer at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo where she was a finalist all four years in her top three events and a five-time individual school record-holder. While studying abroad, Peterson swam with the Australian National Swim Team working side-by-side in the water and weight room with Olympic medalists.
